PureOps travels to Southern California to participate in the Cal-Val 101/201 training at their 20+ acre headquarters.

Scope of Work:

PureOps-ers Brandon and Miguel undertook a three-day, mixed-format training at Cla-Val University, including formal instruction, hands-on training, and a complete factory tour. The coursework covered the fundamentals of control valves as well as a deep dive into solenoid-operated valves, altitude valves, multi-pilot control valves, and new technologies being developed by Cal-Val.

Since 1936, Cla-Val has been known as the leading manufacturer of automatic control valves and has built a well-earned reputation for providing superior quality products designed for mission-critical water distribution solutions throughout the United States and around the world. Cla-Val moved to its present home and worldwide headquarters in Costa Mesa, California in 1954. Today, they are the only valve manufacturer in the world with two in-house foundries.

PureOps replaces (6) old Regal Vacuum Regulators with new Regal units for an aquatics center in Glendale, AZ. PureOps also supplied the customer with additional Regal Vacuum Regulators for another pool site and shelf spares.

Scope of Work:

Remove old vacuum regulators and vacuum tubing; install new vacuum regulators and vacuum tubing with appropriate fittings; and provide training to on-site staff covering the proper safety and operation practices of chlorine gas injection systems

Scope of Supply:

(10) Regal Model A-826 Vacuum Regulators, assorted vacuum tubing fittings, and
roughly 300’ of vacuum tubing

PureOps travels to Yuma to install a new chlorine gas system at a WTP in Yuma, AZ.

Scope of Work:

Remove existing Wallace & Tiernan chlorine gas injection system; replace it with a
new dual-injection point Regal chlorine gas system inside of a 6’ x 6’ FRP building;
replace the existing scale system with a new electronic load cell system from
Force Flow; install new chlorine analyzers from Hydro Instruments.

• (2) Hydro Instruments RPH-250 Free Chlorine Residual Analyzer, 0-2 PPM Self-Cleaning Head, Includes Pressure Reducing Valve and Pressure Gauge

PureOps assists factory technical support in the service and training of the entire chlorination system at a WTP in El Paso, TX. Utility staff was trained on disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly of all chlorine gas feed equipment and components.

PureOps designs, supplies, and installs new 1.5” and 2” PRVs (Pressure Reducing Valves) for the Taos Pueblo to replace old failing infrastructure.

Scope of Work:

Remove and replace existing 1.5” and 2” Cla-Val PRVs; convert old leaking plumbing from galvanized steel to copper pipe.

• (1) Cla-Val 1.5” PRV with Stainless Steel Trim and Pilot Assembly
• (1) Cla-Val 2” PRV with Stainless Steel Trim and Pilot Assembly
• (1) Copper Pipe, Fittings, Pro Press tool, and other miscellaneous equipment

PureOps supplies and installs (4) 6-channel Halogen Safety Shutoff Actuator Systems at a WWTP in El Paso, TX. These actuators provide much needed safety at this facility being that there are 24 one-ton containers that may be online at any given time. The actuator controllers are tied into the chlorine gas detectors as well as emergency “panic” buttons located near the two exit doors. Regular maintenance on the Hydro Instruments Gas Detectors and Halogen Shutoff System is performed by PureOps.
