PureOps builds a reverse osmosis water treatment facility from the ground up for Spaceport America, completing the most extensive project to-date for PureOps.

Scope of Work:

Coordinate engineering and construction services of 30’ x 60’ CMU building to include foundation prep, concrete slab, roll-up door, electrical, HVAC, custom
roofing system, and related site work to house water treatment equipment; design, size, build, and install reverse osmosis membrane skid (complete with controls, water softener, staging tank, booster pumps, control valves, chemical injection, and CIP systems)

Scope of Supply:

  • Complete turn-key engineering services by stamped NM P.E.
  • Foundation, rebar work and 3,000 PSI concrete pad
  • CMU Block to match existing infrastructure
  • Custom roofing system, garage door, and personnel door
  • 200A electrical service to building to include interior panels, disconnects, lighting, and 480V service to Reverse Osmosis Skid
  • Dual split system HVAC building climate control

PureOps removes and replaces the entire one-ton chlorine gas feed system for the Tolleson WWTP.

Scope of Work:

Coordinate with Tolleson WWTP staff to temporarily inject Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) for disinfection of wastewater during the removal and replacement of current chlorine gas injection system; Remove all obsolete and aged chlorine gas injection equipment including ejectors, vacuum regulators, pacing valves, related plumbing; Install all new equipment and add a safety shutoff system from Halogen to give the operations team an added layer of safety when working with chlorine gas; Replace all of the PVC chlorine gas vacuum lines as well as the chlorine solution manifold by request of the WWTP supervisor while onsite, as the piping was brittle and compromised; Upon complete installation, perform a full startup, testing, and operator training in order to get the plant back online safely; PureOps and the Tolleson team planned to inject temporary Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) for an entire week, however, the service team worked through the night to get the WWTP back online with chlorine gas in 48 hours.
